Waldinger Acquires LADCO, Inc.

The Waldinger Corporation and LADCO, Inc. joined forces when The Waldinger Corporation acquired LADCO on April 23, 2018.

LADCO has operated as a sheet metal contractor in the eastern Iowa market since 1970. The Waldinger Corporation, founded in 1906, is a full-service mechanical and electrical contractor with multiple locations known for mission critical and other high-profile projects. Waldinger is the largest round-the-clock, truck-based service provider delivering maintenance and repair services to customers throughout the Midwest.

Both companies install, repair and maintain heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems in commercial, institutional and industrial facilities. Combined, the two companies have 650 construction professionals and tradespeople, including over 100 service technicians, in Iowa. Both have a strong presence in small, service-related, technically-demanding project arenas.

Leaders from each company cite shared values, expanded services to customers and increased opportunity for employees as key to the acquisition decision. Guy Gast remarked, “Great things happen when you put good people together.  It’s the people who are the strength behind this union.” LADCO owner Doug Hamilton further noted, “We have been blessed with great employees and customer relationships over the years. We look forward to providing them even more opportunities for growth and service!”

Doug Hamilton will now serve as Waldinger’s Eastern Iowa Sheet Metal Manager. Doug will report to Guy Gast, President of The Waldinger Corporation – Iowa Division. All employees and facilities will remain active and part of the expanding operations of The Waldinger Corporation.
